Inspector Gadget is an American-Canadian-French animated television series produced by DIC Audiovisuel that aired in syndication from September 5, 1983 to November 13, 1985. The series was syndicated by the Lexington Broadcast Services Company during its original run. It continued to air in syndicated reruns until 2000 and 2001 respectively, on cable channels including local independent and network stations, Nickelodeon, CBS, The Family Channel, Fox Family Channel (and later ABC Family). The show was also aired on This TV, Starz Encore Family and lastly Qubo (currently, the last show aired on American TV was in February 2021). The series revolves around the adventures of Inspector Gadget, a clumsy, dim-witted police officer who is sent on missions to thwart plans by his nemesis Dr. Claw, the leader of the evil organization M.A.D., while unknowingly being assisted by his niece Penny and their dog, Brain. This show will be airing on MeTV Toons in June of next month this summer.

One of the weaker cartoons of my childhood.. Fox Kids in general was weaker than cartoon networks for me but it did have some interesting ones.(THE TICK yeaah)

Inspector Gadget was still on Nickelodeon in the early 90's (1990-1992); however, it also aired as a midseason replacement program filler on CBS' Saturday morning on the CBS Kid TV block late during the 1991-1992 season, so that could have been why Burger King chose to feature it in its kid's meals. Nick continued to air Gadget until the late 1990's-beginning of the 2000's. I know seeing the show circa 1996-2000, probably to promote the Matthew Broderick live-action version. Inspector Gadget had a brief second run in the late 90's. But at the time the show had not aired on Nickelodeon for a few years.

I grew up on Carl Weathers doing action movies - I was impressed by his comedic talent in this movie. RIP Carl we miss you already
